A little late to the game on this post, but I still wanted to highlight why I love this so much.
Many of you may be fans of the popular HBO show GIRLS, one which I am a huge fan of. A show about four twenty-something girls in NYC, trying to figure out their lives. What app is vital in any twenty-somethings life though? Snapchat of course.
Now I’m a huge Snapchat fan, and I absolutely love following the stories posted by GIRLS. From seeing clips from everyone at the premiere, to sneak peeks every week, the team at GIRLS have a brilliant take on their target market (me) and I’d love to see more brands engaging with their consumers this way.
Mashable posted a brilliant article here on “8 Brands Rocking Snapchat”, though I’m not sure any of them live up to the standard I’ve seen on GIRLS. Even their little mid-week celebration snaps help to brighten my day!
Could we soon have Snapchat handles being displayed on our television screens along with #hashtags for an extended viewing experience? Imagine personalised responses being sent straight to your phone – how much would this help to develop the relationship between a brand and consumer?
It’s no wonder Snapchat recently turned down a $3 billion offer on their business, it’s growing more and more rapidly and still has many opportunities for brands to utilise.
