adstonishing

My look at adverts, marketing techniques and social media that have that something special.

Film Adverts (Competition time!)

One of the most enjoyable parts of going to the cinema I now find is the adverts. Previously is was  to see the new films coming out, but now I see myself anticipating a theatrical way someone is going and try to sell me a car, a drink, or even a phone contract.

Recently I went to see Rush and noticed how many car adverts there were. Obviously I’m aware how  adverts are very carefully selected for each film, but what I haven’t considered before is how much fun could be had with this. So I’ve developed a little game, and potentially a competition! Below I have some examples of films with a choice of three adverts that could run up before them.

Fight Club

The three adverts I would pick would be:

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

With the adverts:

Now there are hundreds of films and possibilities out there, so I will make a few restraints as choice is everyone’s worst enemy. I shall give a selection of three films which you can select adverts for. I will end the competition in one week today Monday 7th October, and the prize shall be one of the three films on DVD, the choice is up to you! I know it’s small, but I’m poor and it’s all just a bit of fun.

So! The films are as follows:

Mean Girls,

The Shawshank Redemption,

and The Shining

Use the form below to enter and good luck! I shall post the winning entry next week and some runners-up too.
